In Kidutlhood the producers use such medium shots as the one above to add emphasise and importance to the specific characters of the film. In this sense the camera is focused on Femi Oyeniran (Moony) and behind the actor on the right Adam Deacon (Jay). Due to the camera being focused on them and not the actors walking past at the front of the shot adds a sense of significance towards the main characters. Also due to Moony wearing a branded sleeveless jacket and playing a video game also sets the tone for the set as it shows how the school is probably states funded and is full of troubled teenagers.

Opening Scene 5
In Kidutlhood the producers use such such low shots as the one above to emphasise important events on the ground, as in this case a teenager playing football. This is effective as it creates a sense of realism for the plot which is about school teenagers and the fact that they are playing football in their uniform during their break is also additionally effective. Due to the fact that this is not a very interesting shot it adds a sense of anticipation to the audience as something in the plot maybe about playing football.
Opening Scene 4
In Adulthood the producers use such tracking shots as the one above to create the illusion of the audience being part of the school and following and listening in on Trife, Moony and Jay's conversation. Furthermore the reason for filming the gate creates an urban feel to the scene and also adds a sense of containment to the scene. Also the medium long shot of these three characters is additionally effective as it the viewers can clearly see their body language and facial expressions.
Opening Scene 3
In Kidulthood the producers use this medium shot on Red Madrell (Alisa) as it draws the audiences attention to her, but most importantly shows more space around her as opposed to a close up shot. The reason for this is that behind her Rebecca Martin (Katie) has just been thrown onto the floor by some female bullies. This is effective as it gives the audience an unexpected scene of action which is immediately disguised by Alisa and furthermore adds to the drama.
Opening Scene 2
In Kidulthood the producers use such close up shots as the one above on Aml Ameen's (Trife's) face to draw the audiences attention towards him as the main character. In this scene the viewers can tell that Trife is working on something due to the fact that he has protective goggles on and is operating a drill. However the camera is focused on him not the drill as this gives the impression that we do not want to know just yet what he is making as it will surely be revealed further along in the plot.
Opening Scene 1
In Kidulthood the producers choose this particular, unique font for displaying the title of their film. The reason they chose this font is because it is very dynamic and bold which sets the tone for the urban drama genre. Also the colour background is black and the font is white and this is also effective as it is easy to read and really stands out leaving a memorable title in the audiences mind.
